A private contemporary new-build house project designed with energy efficiency as a primary principle and to benefit from sunlight and the view of the garden. The house maximises the passive solar gain that the orientation of the site affords using glazing and thermal mass, summer solar shading and solar thermal panels. Careful design also uses thermal mass and rainwater harvesting technologies.
